Through a series of 6 episodes, Hermès employees share their voices, inviting you into the heart of their daily lives in the house.
In this episode, discover Manuela’s career path, who is currently the director of the Hermès workshops in Paris.
During her 26 years at Hermès, Manuela has had a career path that has allowed her to satisfy her taste for bold bets. She has experienced mobility and different positions and countries, from Pantin to Munich, from Los Angeles to Tokyo.
Hired as a leather goods craftsperson at the age of 23, she shows that there is no set path in the house, but rather a series of diverse encounters and opportunities that are seized as projects and activities develop: “Hermès gave me a chance, even though I didn’t tick all the boxes. From leather-worker to workshop manager, this bespoke career path has helped me forge very strong bonds of trust with the teams.”
