In the Chloé documentary short ‘When Women Dance’, female dancers from Rio de Janeiro’s Mangueira samba school describe the sense of sisterhood they feel in being part of the collective, and the power, strength and courage they gain from dancing together.
@mangueira_oficial has paved the way for gender equality in the samba community. As the first samba school to provide a space for women to participate, it embodies Chloé’s purpose: ‘Women Forward. For a fairer future.’
