Discovering the secrets behind the making of the “Christian Dior” embroidery, produced on dresses specially designed for the show in Shanghai, means stepping inside the Vermont ateliers. Here the embroiderers, using black thread and glass bugle beads, have transcribed the lettering from a Christian Dior fan held in the House’s archives.
