Boom Art is a limited edition skate and surf brand that turns the athletic activities into visual art. Not only do they apply icons of art history, like medieval tapestries, onto skate and surfboard decks, they play with the very idea of these sports, packaging hand-shaped skateboards in engraved boxes like others might bottles of wine. The brand produces classic skate photography with stars like Tony Alva and Denis Martinez as well. For #GucciAce, the brand created a montage video of surreal scenes in and around skateboarding — skating a pool, trying to skate a block of wood, and crashing a half-pipe on Gucci print board.
