Samira Gibson embodies the message of “big things truly come in small packages.” She is a young yet acclaimed songstress who has had the pleasure of being a three time winner at the Apollo Theater and has worked with legends like Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige and Elle Varner. When I had the pleasure of meeting her, I couldn’t get over her humbleness and warmth. For somebody with such notability, her personality is the most graceful, down to earth… and her voice is beautiful. With roots stemming from South Carolina and currently residing in New York City, Samira is well versed in the culture which exudes from each piece of work she delivers.

The Center will host visual, performing, and digital arts presentations; develop and disseminate innovative educational tools; convene peer-to-peer exchanges; and sponsor results-oriented policy dialogues.
