It's such a privilege to be part of history. It is with gratitude to the GIZ of Germany for having me as an Ambassador for the Ethiopian Textile and Apparel Industry.
The textile and apparel industry is considered to be one of the first steps into industrialization , and gives opportunities for employment and increases the possibilities for global trade.
The Africa Sourcing & Fashion Week is anticipating an increasing interest in eco fashion. It is with this idea in mind that H&M, WRAP, GIZ (Society for International Cooperation) Ethiopia and Solidaridad presented sustainable solutions as part of the conference.
The promotion of the textile and garment industry as an industry demonstrates high social responsibility together with a stable and favourable business environment and skilled work force to enable a country to grow.
It is with these possibilities in mind that I am very very excited to work as an ambassador in the industry I love so much .
