"The story is a combination of two personal things," says Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović who directed "Stane", the 26th chapter of the Miu Miu Women's Tales short-film series. "One is that I used to work at a construction site in New York once I moved there in 2009 before I realized that I do want to direct movies and actually through working in a construction site the idea of directing crystallized. Stane stands for my great great great grandmother. She was an incredibly strong woman and she had a hard life. She inspired the story and inspired other stories that are coming off of it."
