For the latest edition of the Girl In Miu Miu series, a short film has been created to highlight the music of actress and songwriter, Alison Sudol (https://www.instagram.com/alisonsudol).
Following the release of her EP, Moon, director M Blash (https://thedirectorsbureau.com/directors/m-blash/reel/) has created a visual interpretation of Alison’s song “The Quickening”.
The dreamy vulnerability of the track serves to inspire a short film in which we experience a kinetic loop of multiple ‘Alisons’, each one juxtaposed with the previous in polyphonic sequences.
These different versions of Alison are seen reacting to a mysterious letter, one whose origin is left undisclosed throughout the film.
All we know is that this letter contains a message capable of inspiring a wide range of emotions, from confusion to surprise, remorse to nostalgia.
The behavioral differences of the various ‘Alisons’ are accentuated by a selection of Miu Miu pieces from the Croisière 2019 collection.
