Alex Quicho: GIRLSTACK: modelling the angelic, cybergothic, and ultrasmooth dimensions of the platform stack

Alex Quicho is a writer, artist, educator and girlbot based in London. She is an Associate Lecturer in Speculative Futures at CSM and Director of Futures at the research agency Canvas8. Small Gods (2021), her book on the terror and transcendence of drones, was published by Zer0 Books in 2021. She is published in Wired, The White Review, Bookforum, The New Inquiry, Art Review, Real Life, and others; and produces texts, talks, and films for institutions including Singapore Art Museum, Somerset House (London), Power Station of Art (Shanghai), Julia Stoschek Collection (Berlin), Rennie Museum (Vancouver), and Nationalgalerie (Berlin).
