Swiss artist Urs Fischer gives us his interpretation of Rodin’s Iconic marble sculpture, “The Kiss,” created here in modelling clay. This surprising material, straight from childhood memories, invites and allows visitors to climb onto the imposing sculpture to make their mark.
This work has only been exhibited once previously, in London in 2017, and here, it takes up its position as the ultimate ode to love and freedom.
“The Kiss” thereby reiterates an interactive experience that Urs Fischer created with the idea of expressing the possibility of re-appropriating, modifying and even altering, classical, and commonly accepted representations of beauty.
