For Black History Month 2022, LCF's Fashion Space Gallery hosted ‘Melanin Modalities in Fashion and Culture’ an exhibition celebrating LCF Black staff and students. As part of the exhibition staff and students were interviewed exploring the origin, identity and pronunciation of their unique names.
The aim for 'Let me introduce myself' was to help inspire and inform others to open their own collective understanding and experience of culture. Through listening to each person's story behind their name, it centres you in the back row and opens your ears wider to the great stories being told in the room, which in turn ignites research, entrepreneurship, and opportunity.
